With degrees in both archaeology and history, Lee has spent the past 20 years exploring the Kimberley and has dedicated her life’s work to the preservation of its natural & cultural heritage. She has worked closely with Aboriginal people in a number of capacities and has a good knowledge of the cultural and archaeological background of many of the Language Groups in the Kimberley.
Lee’s research projects have examined ways in which the role of archaeology can contribute to both cultural and natural resource management and towards the development of a sustainable and ecologically based Aboriginal cultural tourism product. She also works as a professional and specialist tour guide sharing her academic and working knowledge of the archaeology, geology, fauna and flora, bush foods and medicines, cultural and European history of the Kimberley.
